We inherit various aspects from our family system, including strengths, weaknesses, loyalties, and more. These inherited traits, both positive and negative, can greatly influence our lives. Understanding that these burdens are part of a wider family or social system can provide relief from feeling 'stuck' or 'broken'. Honouring these systemic entanglements or cut-offs provides places of reorganisation and healing. These inter-generational dynamics can span across family lines for decades or even centuries and are often linked to significant social experiences like immigration or gender norms. Recognizing these legacy influences, which can be both visible and hidden, can provide healing and clarity. Acknowledging both the pain and beauty of our heritage is crucial for understanding our inner and outer systems.

In this series of recorded video demonstrations and discussion, this study group will build on their existing knowledge from the IFS Introduction and offer discussion and further learning with 4 demonstrations of recorded client sessions showing working with a new client, somatic working, couples, and trauma processing.
