Small Group IFS Series – 16 hours practicum

Deepen your IFS learning journey with this Small Group Learning through practice exercises, demonstrations, and discussion.

In this online learning series for small groups, you will deepen in the Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) model of psychotherapy through practice, demos, teaching and in small group discussion. Clinical trainer and psychotherapist Simon d’Orsogna MA (IFS Institute’s International Partner for Australia & NZ, Certified & Level 3 IFS trained) will offer skills based learning groups for up to 12 persons over 8 x 2 hour sessions, weekly (***excepting one week break as noted below). Payment plans are available.

THIS DEEPENING SERIES WILL HAVE TWO OFFERINGS ON TUESDAY MORNINGS;

TUESDAYS, *WEEKLY FROM 8:00AM – 10:00am (GROUP 1)
or
TUESDAYS, *WEEKLY FROM 10:30AM – 12:30PM (GROUP 2)

This series of deepening IFS sessions is for those who have already undertaken a first IFS Introduction or Small Group series with Simon d’Orsogna and/or an Applied Demos, Enriching or Deepening Workshop, or the IFSI’s IFS Circle program.

Please note – this is not Level 1 IFS Training, however it will prepare and well-orient you if you choose to do this subsequently. It assumes basic knowledge and will emphasise learning by doing, didactics and discussion, and group work.

STRUCTURE AND CONTENT
Eight x two hour sessions will be conducted through the Zoom online video meeting platform, incorporating demos, didactic presentations, and small group practices supported by IFS trained practitioners, assisting in the breakout rooms.

The live-work sessions will focus on a volunteer participant or video demo (approx. 1 hour) and also allow remaining time for process discussion, amplifying choice points and supporting didactic teaching through theoretical points arising from the work, and for questions. The volunteer client (selected by lottery from the group participants) will have option to work with Simon as therapist.

NOTE all sharing is to be treated with confidence, and the sharing of the recording of this session is at the perogative of the client after the demo completes. The client will have opportunity to view the recording ahead of making a decision. Joining this group requires agreement to preserve the confidence and safety norms as agreed in the first session.

• The didactic sessions will focus on key topic for deepening your core understanding of the IFS model in the areas of 1) Self-to-Part relationship; 2) the Protective System; 3) the Therapist’s Parts and the Therapist’s Presence; and 4) the Flow of the Model.
• Recordings of these online sessions will be available for 3 months from the session date for the participants’ for private viewing and study (please not shared). Participants consent to this requirement as a condition of enrolment.
• Participants enrol in the entire 8 session program as a single package. Participants are expected to attend all sessions, there is no option to select only certain dates. Further cycles of sessions will be discussed towards the end of the series. No fees will be refunded after the first session. Certificates for CE will be issued only for those who attend all the live sessions.

NB there are no addition user costs in using the Zoom video conferencing platform. An invitation link will be sent ahead of time to each member of this group. Please reboot your computer before joining, and please do not have other applications (eg messaging, email, skype etc) running while we meet as this can slow or disrupt the connection.
