SESSION TIMES – 6:00pm – 8:00pm AEST (Melbourne/Sydney)

Session 1- Tuesday 21st May 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Session 2 – Thursday 23rd May 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Session 3 – Tuesday 28th May 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Session 4 – Thursday 30th May 2024 from 6:00pm – 8:00pm

Commence with either Series I (4 individual sessions) or Series II (one client over 4 sessions) or Series III (4 single sessions) in the Applied IFS Demo workshops series. All use IFS as the lens or central spine of the work, offering practical modelling and application through an experiential orientation.

In this series of recorded video demonstrations and discussion, this study group will build on their existing knowledge from the IFS Introduction and offer discussion and further learning with 4 demonstrations of recorded client sessions showing working with a new client, somatic working, couples, and trauma processing. Simon d’Orsogna will offer these Applied IFS Demos Online, in group sessions via the ZOOM platform (8 hours series total). Maximum 14 places only.

Recordings of these sessions will be NOT made available, to respect client permissions. To see the demo you must attend the session at the given time.

The focus in this series is on seeing the IFS approach, model and techniques in action. Participants in the APPLIED IFS – Online Demos Second Series will deepen the basics of the IFS approach through examples, commentary and reflection. Suitable to professionals (therapists, psychologists, counsellors, certified coaches, expressive and therapeutic arts practitioners, and social workers) who have completed at least the Introductory Workshop Series, or similar 6 hour basic IFS learning.

The Deepening workshops, Small Study Groups, Applied Demo series #1-3, IFS Online Circle and Continuity Program, and Level 1 Training will be natural next steps to those who have completed this workshop.

Testimonials from attendees of Simon’s Applied IFS Demos Series 2 workshops in this online format:

An informative workshop/demo series deepening my understanding of IFS. The model is applied over a period of sessions with one client, seeing how to help the client to create self awareness on their parts and how they play out in their lives.

Examples of specific therapeutic phasing of client experiences were especially valuable. Eg session 2 and 3 displaying work with polarizations, with attention paid to various aspects of the process clearly delineated.

Fascinating, helpful, inspiring; so encourages me to do this work!

Seeing how Simon slowly and carefully invited the parts of this actual client to present themselves and in a safe, contained way – really great learning.

A great fly-on-the-wall experience of an IFS-informed series of sessions, with commentary from an experienced therapist.

I have enjoyed both series 1 & 2 of the Applied IFS demos. Watching Simon’s easily comfortable style is affirming as is the way he explains his way of working. Thank you again and I look forward to the next online experience.

Just wanted to say thank you for creating a space for therapists to really dive into the work and watch it unfold step by step – this really is a special space we were invited into and I thank both client and therapist for this! Simon – you do some great work!

Great way to see IFS in action. Definitely helps with widen your understanding of the model, especially if you are still quite new to it.

Simon’s explanations at crucial points during the demos were perfect. Each time a question popped up for me, he’d stop the video and explain an important step but even more importantly for me, he’d highlight a subtle nuance of IFS therapy, which I would have missed if I’d just read about it or it hadn’t been pointed out. AND to be able to ask individual questions about the demo was so beneficial.

I applied IFS today in session (after watching the full series these last weeks), and it was wonderful to witness client show kindness towards their ‘guilty’ part . Thank you!
